Lovely area that is often overlooked. The visitor centre is never open, although the car park and grounds are obviously well looked after and in good condition. Although the park is surrounded by some very busy roads and the railway line, it is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The area is quite large with a wide range of footpaths and walkways. I like that there are several signs with information on local plants and wildlife, and maps showing the various footpaths. The different bridges crossing the beck are lovely, and there are also lots of benches to have a rest or sit and take in the beautiful scenery. I particularly like walking here in the Spring when there are lots of bluebells, and in the Autumn when the colours are simply stunning. Read moreThere's nothing to see. A few trails with no signs, so we weren't sure which way to go to get back to the car and ended up on the road. Was under the impression there was a lake, but it was mud with reeds in. Decent amount of parking, to be honest, a bit disappointed. On looking at the map, we only covered the side with the carpark.
