I really enjoy going for a walk here. If it's wet it's muddy underfoot, so be warned. A lot of of dog walkers use it and quite a few let the animals loose. We have NEVER had a problem but there's always a first time. There are a few things for children to play on and a small, but steel, hill with good views from the top. The lake has a variety of birds in residence, who pay close attention to anyone who might feed them. You can walk a variety of routes around the area and on a nice gay is a lively place to be. There is a sewerage works alongside the place but you're away from it quickly and it doesn't smell too badly...

It's lovely to see an area like this. During the swan's pregnancy I visited the park frequently to see how she was progressing. It was really nice. For those Pokémon Go players, there's a fair few Pokéstops, gyms and nests in there too. Why not have a trip into Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park and take in the scenery while catching your Pokémon? If you have hayfever, though, take a tablet before you go in! Speaking...
