I really enjoy going for a walk here. If it's wet it's muddy underfoot, so be warned. A lot of of dog walkers use it and quite a few let the animals loose. We have NEVER had a problem but there's always a first time. There are a few things for children to play on and a small, but steel, hill with good views from the top. The lake has a variety of birds in residence, who pay close attention to anyone who might feed them. You can walk a variety of routes around the area and on a nice gay is a lively place to be. There is a sewerage works alongside the place but you're away from it quickly and it doesn't smell too badly...

Lovely little walk round in any weather. It is very popular with dog walkers but they need to be on leads because of the wildlife here. Small ponds (which have lots of tadpoles in the spring) and a visitors center but I have never seen it actually open. There is a small play area that needs a bit of TLC but is good for younger kids. The walk itself doesn't take long and the views from up hill are beautiful, you can see for miles. On a wet day I do recommend good walking boots or wellies as the paths are not maintained all year round and can become water logged or even swampish making the hills...

It's a lovely scenic place. Who would have thought Billingham would have such a nice wildlife reserve area. There was a swan that was nesting and has since had her babies. It's lovely to see an area like this. During the swan's pregnancy I visited the park frequently to see how she was progressing. It was really nice. For those Pokémon Go players, there's a fair few Pokéstops, gyms and nests in there too. Why not have a trip into Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park and take in the scenery while catching your Pokémon? If you have hayfever, though, take a tablet before you go in! Speaking...

Great ,large open space amongst all the industry. From the high point you can see transporter bridge, the power plants and the greenbelt of Greatham. Chap from Stockton council was emptying the dog bins and people are picking up after their dog as every walkway was clean. Shame the visitor centre was closed,so I couldn't spend money on food and drink here to support it.
