Walking east from Mumbles point, the coast path takes you through some developed beaches on a decent path, but as you climb out of the far end of Caswell, it becomes more rugged, and in the winter very muddy.

A little way around the cliff, and Brandy Cove finally reveals itself at the last turn of the path, being enclosed by short steep cliffs. It’s a miniature, stony inlet, with a name that suggests some ancient secret contraband activity.

Best visited on a warm May Day, when the late Spring sunshine glitters on the sea, no house overlooks, no cars intrude, no ice cream parlours . No, this is a lovely unspoilt slice of...

Brandy Cove is a place once used by smugglers and a place where a woman was murdered by her husband and her body hidden in one of the caves. There was a woman called Old Moll she lived in one of the caves the locals believed her to be a witch as bad things happened to villagers and farm animals when she passed through . So they shot her with a silver bullet although they never actually killed her just maimed her in one of her legs she was never seen again . Lovely walk down to this little cove and never over run with visitors nice day out...

One of the quieter and more secluded bays on the Gower Peninsula. It's ok for swimming at low tide, but better for exploring rock pools. Take a walk up towards Pwlldu and you get some of the best views possible, covering Caswell round to Pwlldu.
