AVOID THIS COURSE! I have taught golf for 11 years, played all over the world and have clients all over England, this is the worst experience i have ever had at a golf course.
My daughter is 10 and has been having golf lessons since she was 8. I took her here to play her first round as it is local to us. Paid for her, she has a full golf outfit and she has her own clubs. Half way through the round a young groundsman came up to us with an absolutely disgraceful attitude, his words were "You need to get off the course now, kids can't play" to which I informed him, we have paid and that is an awful attitude to approach us in that manner, especially when I am with my daughter. He then decided to shout a load of excuses at us "she's a kid, she hasn't got a full set of clubs, she needs golf attire, no spectators, it's dangerous" I told him that we have paid, she has her own clubs and she was in full golf attire. He then decided it would be appropriate to get off of his vehicle and square up to me. What is a dad to do in this situation when his young daughter is watching and learning from my actions. Very reluctantly I left as my daughter got very upset and started crying because the man wouldn't chill out, he just kept shouting and having a disgusting attitude. Clearly this golf course do not want to help the future generation of golfers. Me, my friends and family and my clients will never step foot on this course again unless I get an explanation. What on earth was this man thinking! I asked to speak to the manager only to be told "no, its my decision not the managers" I did have the managers contact but it has been a while and no longer do. I won't name you but if you are reading this...
Read moreAmazing place to take the family, or just go with a group of friends. The staff were friendly and polite. Everything inside wa d spotless my clean. 18 holes of Congo themed fun. Not one person in our party lacked a smile and plenty of laughs. Just watch out for the pond, it claimed two of our golf balls lol. My only comment would be to let disabled people it is in no way disabled friendly. Uneven floors, steep slopes, steps, staircases - I am partially disabled and I didn’t realise before I went that it wasn’t going to be flat. Would have been nice if this information was included on the website or a sign at the start. I struggled and today still can’t walk properly. But it is superb value and if your able bodied definitely worth going to. We will be back albeit without me taking part. Might try pitch and putt. Won’t be able to play proper golf but highly recommend the crazy golf to anyone not...
Read moreGreat little place for 18 rounds of crazy golf in a really thoughtful and well laid out Congo river style environment. A lot of people don't know that Blaby was once part of Africa and the Congo flowed right through it about 47 years ago. With modern technology and help from the Congalese Govt, a part of it was helicoptered over to Leicestershire and plonked by the A426. It's quite a challenging course and lots of tricky holes but it's got a sense of humour and a really lovely ambient soundtrack which reminds of my trip to Botswana and Sierra Leone back in the early 1800s. Great place to take your kids to remind them than the real world is in 3D, does not require headphones and WiFi and they can actually achieve a sense of fun and satisfaction from hitting a ball with skill instead of hitting cars and...
