Queenswood County Park, and I must say, it was an absolutely enchanting experience! The beauty of the autumn garden is simply breathtaking. The vibrant hues of orange, red, and gold create a stunning tapestry that feels like stepping into a painting. One of the highlights of my visit was the collection of Japanese maples. Their delicate leaves, adorned in brilliant shades, added a serene and almost magical quality to the landscape. Each tree seems to tell its own story, swaying gently in the crisp autumn breeze. The park’s well-maintained paths make it easy to explore, and every turn reveals another picturesque scene. Whether you’re a nature lover, a photographer, or just looking for a peaceful escape, Queenswood is a must-visit destination. I can't wait to return and experience the changing seasons all over again!

Nice place for the kids and dogs on leads, if you take them off the lead (the dogs that is) keep them away from the front edge as there is no fence to stop them running into the road. A small fenced enclosure in the centre is suitable for free range dogs (Autumn Garden) Cafe on site Camera parking, pay on exit, 1 hour circa £1.50 All paths lead to Rome, you could try and get lost but you wouldn’t succeed. Gruffalo Trail will keep the little ones busy Would advise boots in the wetter months as some of the paths a tad sticky. High heals and silly shoes not advised If you want some more entertainment go and visit Hampton Court (house and gardens) up the road (circa 10 mins away) Or visit Wellington Garden Centre for Nicky knacks, salvage and very nice home made cakes.

We love Queenswood Country Park. Been here many times and love to comeback. Once you get to car park your reg is scanned and you pay when you leave. There are toilets and station to prince dogs and wellies or give dog some water. Quite few picnic benches and enclosed playground. If you find yourself hungry you can get some food in cafe or ice cream. Little souvenir shop is there as well and toilets are suitable for disabled people and equipped in baby changing table. Park itself is beautiful regardless of the season, many paths that you can explore with mix of trees. If you are coming with kids don't forget about Gruffalo trail, I think it's best gruffalo trail in the area. Perfect place for family day out, with small and big children and dogs 😁

The park is easy to find and located directly off the main A road, so no country lanes to navigate. We arrived mid-afternoon and the car park was mostly empty.

There is a cafe and a play area for the kids to play in located near the entrance to the park. There are picnic tables dotted around the kids play area, great for parents!

The park offers several trails, one of which is a Gruffalo trail, which is very good for a walk with the kids. The Gruffalo trail takes about an hour to do (this includes stopping for pictures with the Gruffalo characters along the trail). At various points along the trail there are maps showing your location and activities for the kids to do.

There were a few people having barbeques too, and I think the park offers hiring of barbeques/pizza ovens but not really sure of the specifics.

With only the parking fee to pay, this is a great walk for kids and...
