Lived in the area most of my life, but first time ive been up there. Went up there from route next to Wavel garage. It is a little strange going through somebody's garden (even though it is a public footpath) to get up there. The walk isnt as long as it seems but is a rwasonably steep climb. At top, you get great views of the Rossendale Valley. There is a large rock sitting as an outcrop at the far corner of Tor which is great for admiring the view and a good picnic spot if you've brought the hamper with you. We had a young child who dragged her feet a bit and climb took about an hour
