Lovely visit to Windsor Illuminations in Savile Gardens. Plenty of parking during our visit (paid in advance) had heard of others who struggled to park. We were booked to the forest session at 4.30pm. It was already dark and not very busy so felt safe and easy to get around without getting close to other families (regarding covid).

Path was a little muddy so we wore wellies, but walking boots would have also been fine as it hasn't rained.

At the entrance our tickets were checked, there were toilets and a kiosk selling flashing light up gloves (trigger a melt down with the 5yr old when we refused to buy them 🙄).

There were plenty of opportunities for photos and a few occasions where music played during some of the displays, but it would have been nice to have more.

In the middle of the route there were toilets and a few trailers selling food (giant marshmallows for toasting, crepes, chips) and drinks (mulled wine for £6 but no hot chocolate).

At the end of the route there was a bar, clay oven pizza trailer and carousel ride.

The tickets weren't cheap but it was a lovely place to visit, especially with friends and family. We will definitely visit again another year when in the area, but will either take a picnic or plan to eat...
