Boating Lake Fleetwood — Attraction in Borough of Wyre

Phenomenal brilliant family safe place to go especially inexpensive and cheap crabbing in the 2 boating lakes, fantastic for picnics all the right essentials keeping all the family having a great time in fresh sea air on a miniscule budget essentials in this cost of living crisis and holidaying at home, especially keeping the kids happy and entertaining for hours. Also great free car park including camper and and clean free toilets available. If model boating is your hobby, they have their own club and club house with loads of amenities and meet new friends, who sail boats and sailing competition 52 weeks of the year, also getting loads of exercise and fresh air. The boating lake is served by 2 fabulous kiosk 1, serves ice cream and lollies etc as well as the crab buckets, bait, and net for a mere £7 bargain to keep the kids happy. Lovely little place for crabbing, shop right next to it to buy all the stuff. Saw plenty of crabs, jellyfish and shrimp. Pity others ruined it whilst we were there. A family left their crabs in the bucket for ages in the sun, then proceeded to let their kid pour the crabs onto the grass banking. The dad launched them in the water whilst the kid left one on the path upside down, he started batting it with his net, laughing because it was stuck and eventually put it in the water whilst telling his mum it was now dead. They also left shrimps on the path in the blazing sun so we put them back in the water. Beautiful, peaceful, yet also quite busy little lake. Great place for catching crabs and tiny fish or jellyfish. Everyone very friendly and helping one another. Lots of families with children. Some people with dogs. Model boats being raced on the lake. Very enjoyable 4 hours spent socialising and crabbing!! Great fun and all free. Crab catching kits, nets and buckets etc sold locally at fair prices and well worth it. Also possible to get hot drinks within a short walk. Public toilets, clean free to use are on site.
