Gosfield Lake — Attraction in Braintree

A very natural lake that is very old sometimes see boats and water ski on it used to go fishing but is now a syndicate water. Believe it is very deep in the middle and probably has some really big fish in it. There is a shop near it aswell and a caravan park opposite it.I normally use the shop near the park instead as plenty of parking space available even in summer. My friend and I were so happy to discover this wonderful place to camp! We spent two nights and had a great time. Good and clean facilities with Coronavirus measures in place. Antibacterial hand-gel dispensers outside the bathroom, toilets and washing facilities available. Gosfield Hall, in which king Louis the XVIII lived with his wife from 1807-1809, is in view just across a field. A perfect escape...

Stayed here the night before a wedding near by.. booked a annex and it was lovely, amazing views of the lake… Fabulous hosts.. could not be more helpful.. fantastic breakfast…would...
