Great local place for a walk with the dogs with a couple of reservations. For some reason everyone thinks walking their dog off the lead and not picking up the poo to be acceptable! Just because your dog is apparently great off the lead doesn’t mean that every dog it meets on a lead is going to be pleased to see them! Your dog running at another dog who needs to be on a lead just causes problems, it’s quite simple really just pop them on the lead while you pass. Just because your dogs off the lead doesn’t mean you can ignore it’s deposits, or perhaps that’s one of the...

Our first visit to Brayton Barff after passing it by lots of times on our way to Selby. There are well built pathways here as well as easy to follow trails. We took our three children with us who all had a great time running around the woodland and the hilltop. The place appears to be part of the Yorkshire Water network, with a small access road up to the top of the hill where there is a fenced off reservoir. The woodland here is fantastic and looks old, plenty of birds to spot and woodland critters scurrying about. Really...

Great parking and some is wheelchair friendly too.the main paths are in very good condition and are well maintained. There were some dead trees which may be at risk of falling and a couple which had fallen, however the walk was really enjoyable. It was very clean everywhere. We didn't find any actual picnic tables but there were a few little benches. The area is a really nice length of walk even for little legs and there was a little gazebo about the wildlife with a wonderful man who was really helpful. I can't...

Great for dog walking. Beautiful woodland and paths. Looks great in summer when all the flowers are blooming. You can take a nice peaceful walk through many paths that go through it. The only thing that spoils it is that people don't pay attention to the sign saying please keep your dog on the lead. Many let their dogs off. It's a shame about this as they don't see their dogs messing so they don't pick it up. Overall it's very beautiful but like I say there are a few irresponsible dog owners walking there. Most are ok.

Great area to walk round .Two routes from car park to the left easier incline to the right a steeper incline. A nice green area with seating and relaxing. There are other sitting areas for a rest too. Good for families to walk round and plenty of little routes off main paths the circular route is just over one mile. Other walks are accessible from the barff either walk to brayton via road or canal by tracks but a little hard to find if you don't know where to go. Plenty of people to ask
