Flooded gravel pit fringed with native shrubs & trees acting as a reserve for wildlife. Had a lovely few hours watching the birds with their young, dragonflies & damselflies going about their business. Very peaceful spot but, as usual, at least two dogwalkers chose to ignore the signage prohibiting them from the reserve path...They just don't get it!

Read moreVisited in mid-April, we took the peaceful, gentle and very pretty circular route around the pool that we walked in around 30 minutes at a leisurely pace.
A small (free) car park provided the start/finish point for us and the handful of dog walkers we met on the way round. It's an ideal place to visit if you need to get away from it all for a while.
Sparham Pools is located just outside Lyng village, so The Fox pub in Lyng was the icing on the cake for a bit of post-walk...
