Stick Man Play Trail is a very exciting and challenging play trail for all the family. Stick Man Play Trail is inspired by the much loved children's character from the best-loved book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler! It is one of the key attractions of the Weald Country Park! It is free for visitors during the park opening hours. Visitor Centre charges small fee for the Stick Man Play Trail map. Alternatively, you can take a picture of the map displayed on the notice board. The Stick Man Play Trail covers just over a mile of the Park going through the deer enclosure, the lake and the grazing area. There are seven play areas to enjoy on the route with areas to climb, swing, crawl through the logs & trees! The trail is designed to maintain the essence of the historic country park! Weald Country Park is an impressive & picturesque country park with over 550 acres of diverse landscapes - Wildflower Meadows, Open Grasslands, Grazing Land, Forests, Woodlands, Hills, Mounds, Lakes and Ponds! The Weald Country Park dates back to 12th Century as a medieval deer park! It is well-known to many because of the famous and beloved character Stickman Play Trail. It has many hidden treasures too - Fallow Deer 🦌 Enclosure, Wild Deers 🦌 , Wildlife, Heritage Site of Iron Age Hill Fort dating back to 50AD, Belvedere Mound & Folly dating back to 18th Century! The Weald has many hills boasting spectacular panaromic views across the horizon where green meets blue with scattered white clouds! Belvedere Field has a gradient slope towards the picturesque lakes - a perfect green carpet for enjoying a picnic, and busking in the sun ☀! One key important information is not stated in the information boards and in the website - elevation of the trail! It could be very difficult for people with pushchairs, wheelchairs, mobility restrictions to climb up/down these elevated trails! Stickman Play Trail has many elevated trails including mounds and hills, but very sadly, nowhere it warns people about steep elevation of the trail! It would be really helpful and very sensible for all visitors to have the elevation of trail is clearly identified enabling visitors to make informed decision of how to navigate around according to their abilities!

Purpose trip to see stickman- have a 3 year old who adores the story

So disappointed to find that he wasn’t here and all the previous stickman connections with the exception of the swan and bullrushes have all been removed

Cost £ in petrol and parking and a upset child

I do feel that the lack of the main man himself could have been mentioned on website especially as it’s the school holidays

Last visit was some years back in 2020 when we had a fantastic family day climbing , walking finding the areas connected to the story, needless to say we won’t be...

Very disappointed with this trial. We drove an hour to see stick man following the story book and it was just some of the characters there and the main which was the stick man was removed. No signs at all where to go, the bridge it's close and all that journey to tell my 2y old son who loves this book that stick man was in " a trip". We won't waste time...
