Fitzmaurice Park — Attraction in Broadland

Play area is in serious disrepair and the climbing frame is an absolute joke. The slide is tiny, but my 3 year old could barely climb the ladder up to it because there are no grips on the shiny bars and there is such a massive lip over the top he had to lean back to climb over it. There is a fireman's pole attached and the reach from the platform is over a metre away so he couldn't actually reach it but the drop is less than 150cm. It's like whoever designed it had never seen a child close up! Like who is it made for?! Maybe a 7 or 8 year old who is mortally afraid of heights!? The whole place looks like a prison with black 10 foot high spiky bars round it, which look absolutely terrifying. The roundabout has been cordoned off for around a year now with signs saying it's been vandalised, where it looks like it's just old and rotten. The playing areas are ok and there is a zip line which works and there's a rather battered big tube slide in the wooded area. If they sorted the play area out and had public toilets it...

First time visit today, really enjoyed it. Ample parking if arriving by car. Not a long walk but pleasant enough with sections of woodland. Was interesting to spot the raised beds with their selection of herbs and vegetables. Looking forward...
