Salhouse Broad is one of those hidden treasures that offers the perfect mix of tranquility and natural beauty. We visited on a sunny afternoon and were blown away by how calm and scenic the area is perfect for families, walkers, and anyone looking to unwind away from the busier parts of the Broads.
There’s a lovely woodland path leading down to the water, with picnic spots and benches along the way. The broad itself is quiet, with canoes and paddle boards available to hire in the summer months. It’s also accessible by boat if you’re cruising the Broads, and there’s a mooring area with easy access to the shore.

There is a small kiosk that sells light bites drinks and ice cream called the hungry otter, although we unfortunatley mistook this for a pub as our map said pub and shop nearby! That is not accurate, there is not a shop near salhouse Broad, we did ask the ranger, and the hungry otter is not a pub! However defo still worth a visit as great little food amd drinks van.
