Jurassic fun center is a great facility on the freshwater holiday park site with dining facilities, bars, arcade machines, a pool and bowling alley. The swimming pools are large and well looked after, open for anybody who's booked. There is a sauna and steam room available too. The pool is free for anybody staying at freshwater but you must book in advance to ensure the pool area isn't full when you arrive. Indoors there is a shallow pool 0.3m deep with water slides and equipment that dunks water on swimmers periodically from above. There is also a standard sized pool that's 1.1m deep from end to end. A hot tub is also available but I did not use it during my visit. The bowling alley is found upstairs above the pool but must also be booked in advance. The prices are very reasonable compared to other bowling alley chains. The "Rolling Stone" bar and restaurant served us a variety of food and drink at a decent price. There was a large selection on offer such as pizzas, curry, fish and chips etc. The food tasted nice however we did have to wait quite a while for it to arrive. The "Bedrock" takeout however was not as pleasant. We ordered two pizzas, one pepperoni and the other BBQ chicken. There was hardly any pepperoni on the pizza at all, and the BBQ chicken was not a BBQ base, but instead a tomato base with BBQ sauce drizzled on top. Considering what we paid for that night we were quite disappointed. The arcade downstairs had a few different machines that were of various quality however i would suggest you bring cash in advance as there is only one cash machine and it requires you to pay a minimum of £20 by card to receive coins, which was way more than we were willing to spend on our visit Overall, a good experience!

We all enjoyed to be there. We played bowling before one o'clock and for a family of four we paid 10,60£.we played on lane number 3 and about 3 times there was a small fault, which was fixed quite quickly by staff. We also went to swimming pool and it wasn't too overcrowded, just enough space for everyone to enjoy. Two saunas, one Turkish, one Finnish. Splash zone for the little ones, play zone with few small tubes/slides and large bucket of water falling down every now and again and bigger slide, for everyone to enjoy. There was also jacuzzi, but it always seems to be full with southern people. Temperature of the water is acceptable, but for more comfort could be warmer. Adults can go to sauna to warm up, but kids can't find anywhere to warm up, so because of this, we went there slightly over one hour, cause kids got frozen. But if your kids are fine with slightly warm water, you will stay longer. I think we paid 18£for the family, and we enjoyed this centre. Smaller children will love it. There is also lots of different size lockers, but you need one pound coin (refundable ). In a changing room I would add some hooks for the clothes. In the summer this centre can attend only residents of caravan park, from autumn till spring it's open for everyone. Thanks for lovely day out.

The swimming pool is great, slides and small pools for younger children, but the temperature varies, sometimes it's is quite pleasant but more often it very cold. The food upstairs is overpriced and not very nice, the homemade burger was awful way to much onion and I think carrots??? And there idea of a panini was a sausage in a roll with onion

Great pool facilities, lots of fun for the children in a great location, However I am editing my weekday review from 5 to 4 stars after experiencing a weekend booking.

When there is such strict time slots/wrist bands in place and you book for 10am you want to be entering the pool at this time, to get two under 4s and yourself ready along with the locker battle takes a good 20 mins so when you turn up 20 mins early, have to wait for computers to be set up and are denied access to an empty changing room for 10 mins was very frustrating. (If this is due to the building opening at 10am, there should not be a 10am timeslot)

The Whistle for the end of my wristband time then got blown at 10:55 on the pool clock, taking my 1hr down to 45 mins total.

The volume of people in the changing room due to the 15min booking changeovers made getting dressed very awkward, if you don't manage to get a family changing cubicle you have to resort to the tiniest one ever, with 2 children!

As I said before, visiting on a weekday was a different experience but in my opinion the system and or volume of people allowed every 15 mins does not work well at busier times...
