This place is a truly awesome spectacle of nature to witness and these waterfalls are some of the best in the North of England and the UK to see. The National Park Centre is situated very close to it and has a wealth of information about the waterfalls and the local area. There is a network of lovely walks around the Visitor Centre which take you around the local area to Caperby or Aysgarth along with walks to the local woodland and The Upper, Middle and Lower Falls. The scenery of the woodland and the waterfalls is spectacular and breathtaking whatever the seasons and time of year. The walks through the woodland are amazing and very easy going and on fairly even ground. From the woodland you there are paths that take you off the main path down to the Upper, Middle & Lower Falls were you can get a magnificent view of each of the Falls which are an awesome, stunning and very special sight to see watching nature at its most powerful and breathtaking. None of the Falls are better than the other with each having its spectacular uniqueness of beauty. Be warned though some of the area near to the Lower Falls are very slippy so tread carefully when seeing this area of the Falls close up. The National Park Centre has a cafe selling a delicious range of food and drink at reasonable prices and also has a shop with a lovely range of souvenirs at reasonable affordable prices. Overall this is a lovely and pleasant place to visit, which makes for a marvellous and enjoyable to see nature at most spectacular and awesome inspiring. A place that is strongly recommended to visit whilst in the Yorkshire Dale's...

So 3 separate areas to discover. We'll start with the mid falls as they are visible only from a viewpoint platform, and it is the spot to snap a pic or two, though you can also get a pic from above before you go down to the platform. The Lower Falls are accessed on the same walk that takes you past the mid falls, and the walk is very pleasant as you meander through a wood before dropping down to the river and falls. There is a large area to wander and rest at here should you wish, though no specific seating or benches. The Upper Falls are located in a separate area and opposite direction from the main car park. Once again the walk is pleasant, though there is a decent drop along it, but nothing too bad. These falls have a picnic area with benches on the grass. You can walk along the river a short way before the area ends but it is a large area with plenty of space to accommodate crowds. Both the upper and lower are very pretty, and the lower has some fine rock formations. The whole area is really nice to visit and as you start at the National Park Visitor Centre you can get a free map and information here, as well as a drink and snack from the cafe. All in all this is well worth a visit and can be seen at your own pace and leisure. When we were there as we came back mid-afternoon the car park had filled up to full capacity so I would recommend...

We traveled from Bradford to the falls on August 8th 2020 during the covid season. There was huge crowd and found it tough to find a parking space. I would advise to start early which will give you an edge. The falls is divided into 3 parts upper, middle falls and lower falls. The upper falls is the one you cross through a bridge to the parking slot. It looks lovely from the bridge and it's definite stop point for photoshoot. It would take 15 mins by walk from the parking area and there are picnic tables just opposite to the falls to have food as a group. The route is semi pram friendly with some twist and turns. Better to glide over the grass which will make things easy. Next we went to the middle falls which you can see from a view point , a good stop for photos. The path leading to the middle and lower waterfalls are pram friendly and better than the upper falls. The lower waterfalls is the pick among the three and it stands out. It's a long stretch waterfalls with steps and some people dared to cross over from one side to other. You could see the falls leading to the valley from the place and it's a pleasant sight to watch. A definite go to this place if you haven't went. I would advise people to carry a big mat so you can sit down and relax. Pack your lunch boxes , carry a mat and drinks enjoy the sun...
