I couldn't have asked for a better guide than Gemma for an outstanding Crib Goch experience. For safety reasons, Gemma keeps her groups on this notorious ridge very small - there were just three of us, and I felt we were all evenly matched in hiking ability and mindset. Gemma's leadership was outstanding, with sound instruction and a great deal of encouragement. I felt she was in complete control of our safety the whole way and she made it a really enjoyable experience, with plenty of time to catch our breath and chat in between focusing on the technical sections. Although we didn't get the clear views, this took nothing away from a fabulous adventure - in fact, the swirling mist added to the atmosphere and sense of achievement! I highly recommend Gemma to newbie hikers and also experienced climbers who want a personalised day in the hills. Communication before the event was friendly and professional, and she took many brilliant photos along the way, leaving us with wonderful mementos of a truly memorable experience. Thanks Gemma - see...
Read moreI will get straight to the point, you should choose Gemma over anyone else, you will not be dissapointed! This is my second time with Gemma. First being up Tryfan which was amazing and this time did an entire week consisting of a 3 day adventure (Nantlle Ridge, Wild Rhinogs and Moelwyns Slate Trail), 1 day navigation course on Cadair Idris and lastly a day hike to Yr Wyddfa.
She is an absolutely fantastic ML, who has guided and taught me along the way on how to scramble safely, use a compass and map correctly, also along the way gave me other pointers regarding hiking equipment/gear, weather conditions etc. Because of her knowledge, all the paths we went on were not only very quiet but gave you views of a different world. She is calm, hilarious and very passionate about what she does best, communication was great, moves at a steady pace to yours. If only there were more...
Read moreWow! Another amazing trip with Gemma! We did the night hike up Snowdon to catch the sunrise at the summit and it was incredible! We were lucky enough to have beautiful fresh snow over the mountains in early May and sunshine. Gemma led us across along the south ridge to the summit - a route I wouldn’t have been able to do on my own, especially in snow, and it was amazing! The views were stunning. These trips are always well organised with a lot of thought put into them and I felt safe whilst still getting the thrill I’d been seeking! Gemma makes it fun no matter what the weather, you’ll be sure to enjoy it and have lots of laughs along the way! Can’t wait to book the next trip! If you want to push yourself out of your comfort zone and have an amazing experience but still stay safe then I highly recommended...
