Having dined here on two occasions last season , we were very pleased to attend the tea rooms again when I'm the vicinity this season. So, we set off....mouths watering at the prospect of the fantastic roast beef Sunday lunch that we had previously enjoyed. Our excitement mounted as we discussed the meal in our 40 mile trip. However the excitement turned to horror when we arrived at just 2 pm to discover they had sold out of Sunday dinners !!!! Oh no !!!!! This was terrible news !!!!!! After much wringing of hands and voiced rueage, we settled in different dishes....but it simply wasn't the same and I had to soothe my protesting taste buds with a cappuccino.! The staff are lovely , and we're most apologetic.....but the damage was done , and unfortunately the replacement dishes were not in the same league as the roast beef dinner of which I had dreamed. However , I did console myself by purchasing a superb piece of artwork which now sits in pride of place on my living room table !!! We shall certainly visit again , this time armed with the business card displaying the telephone number in order to book in advance , urgo ensuring this terribly sorry state of affairs can never be repeated !!! ....... Roast beef for ever !!!!!!!!!

We stopped here for a late breakfast on our way home from betws-y-coed and it was absolutely lovely. The staff were welcoming, friendly and provided excellent service. We had bacon babs and beans on toast with some coffee and milkshake and all of it was very tasty and filling and arrived promptly and well presented. The setting of the cafe is quite picturesque as it is nestled into the Welsh countryside and has a lovely little fishing lake beside it. Also on site is a small gift and plant shop. There were some pre-planted planters and hanging baskets for sale when we visited which looked very beautiful.

Visited here Friday 11th October 2024.We had not been here for about two years. We had a Latte and Apple pie which I highly recommend. There are comments on here about the Lady behind counter being miserable.Well she isn't.She has a Villager wood burner running keeping the cafe warm and Cosi and the food is lovely here.Good sized car park.Lovely scenic position just outside of Cerrigydrudion, what more do you want.

Disappointed at the rude and unwelcoming staff! We stopped at the cafe on a Saturday afternoon hoping for lunch on our way to Bala. Upon entering the cafe, there was only 1 other customer present, we found a table and proceeded to sit down. We were approached by one of the waitresses who informed us that a group of 10 people were arriving for lunches and we would be best moving to another table to allow them space to wait on the ‘party’. There appeared to be quite sufficient space between the tables however we politely moved to another table further away. When looking at he menus the same waitress then went on to add that due to the table of 10 arrinving service may be slow. We highlighted that would be fine and we were only ordering toasted sandwiches. After choosing from the menu my partner and his sister went to Order at the till, one order was put through then as my partner was placing his order a lady bombarded from the kitchen area rudely proclaiming ‘how am I supposed to prepare that food On top of the other 10 people. At that point my partner had had enough of the unwelcoming rudeness and we chose to leave the cafe and go elsewhere. The cafe has a number of tables that appears to be accommodating for more than 10 people however if that were the case that they are unable to cater for more than 10 people at a time perhaps a notice of closed for private dining should have been applied! As a service manager myself I find it very rude and unprofessional for the kitchen staff to conduct themselves in such a manner in front of...

If possible I would give this cafe a zero star rating. I am absolutely disgusted about the way me and my family have just been treated. We arrived at the cafe this morning at 10:56 on our way home from our break away. Breakfast was served until 11:15 and we was shown to a table. Soon as I sat down the waitress loudly stated to her colleague "he knows its only until 11:15" and had a very angry face looking at us. This made us uncomfortable straight away. When ordering my husband who is allergic to eggs asked if I could have his eggs on my toast. She looked very concerned about this and slammed her note pad down , I said if this is too much just leave it. To which she responded that it was OK she just needed to write the order down before 11:15 (it was 10:58 at this point) she then discussed this order with the cook who loudly shouted "I'm not faffing about" and the waitress then came over and asked if the eggs can stay on my husbands plate. At this point we was just completely blown away with what we had just witnessed, followed by even more eye roles from the waitress. Naturally, we cancelled the order and left. I have never been treated like this before what absolutely awful service. AVOID,...
