I use to be a regular visitor at Hylands Park but after introduction of parking charges I have never returned and neither will I while the charges are in place. I have since found Gallerywood Common, what a lovely place. Beautiful woods, fields, ponds a great place for everyone. There is a tea room offering hot and cold drinks and home baked cakes, run by lovely ladies all of whom are volunteers, very welcoming and friendly. Parking is free with ample space. Read moreA great place to go, to let the kids run wild. There's a good variety of park equipment for all ages. They have tennis courts, netball, football pitches. There is plenty of free parking and toilets in the centre. Depending on the time of year, there is a little duck pond, when it's not marshy. They have a free accessible exercise area with a selection of equipment including bars. They also have a little woodland area at the back that my children love to explore.
