Absolutely AMAZING place to bring your dogs. They have thought of virtually everything!
It isn't too costly. Times, size, space, costs are on a sliding scale.
The smallest area is inexpensive. The largest area is not particularly expensive in my opinion, and absolutely massive! So big in fact it may be more than we will ever need, and then some.
You have an "air lock" car park, which is brilliant for dogs who are people/dog aggressive. Or, in my case, dogs who want to run back to the car and jump in of their own accord.
There is shelter, some enrichment, stuff to explore, investigate, and equipment to use.
The fencing is very strong, high, and even goes underground!
It is 110% secure, and bookings are staggered. This is a really thoughtful touch for dogs who may react or get stressed when they see other dogs in another car.
Water is available, water bowls, small paddling pool.
Rubbish bins, poo bins, and even poo bags are provided!
Staff are incredibly helpful. They can be reached via email or telephone.
The online booking system is very easy to use, quick to book, EVERYTHING about the place is an absolute joy.
As a professional, and small business (please see The Nose Knows in Eynsham) this is an incredibly valuable, and important place.
I can assess dogs carefully off lead, get to know them. Or I can simply hang out with my dog, de-stress, unwind, and know that we are secure, safe, alone together for up to an hour.
I LOVE that they have planted sunflowers, and these are beautiful to look at up close. I am certainly using the opportunity for social media worthy photos!
Usually I'm unable to take photos, but I can do so when I'm here, as we're totally enclosed.
You can have a number of dogs with you, and there is no extra charge for this. Isn't that lovely?!
All that they ask is that you read the terms, conditions. That you comply with them, and the rules and regulations.
These aren't unfair or strenuous. They're perfectly reasonable.
Essentially for everyone's enjoyment, PLEASE pick up after your dog, be mindful of them, and ensure the place is clean, tidy, and as you found it. This is for everyone's enjoyment.
I certainly look forward to becoming a regular customer. Both professionally, and personally for my dog, and I.
Do be aware that there is about a ten-foot gap between enclosures. Generally speaking, it's a good idea to walk on the other side of your enclosure when others are in use.
Other dogs, and people may be present, but they have gone to great lengths to stagger this, have a ten-minute break between sessions to avoid people, and dogs waiting in cars, they really have done all that they can with dog welfare in mind. They have clearly thought about this very, very, very carefully.
I also like that they have planted sunflowers between the enclosures to act as a natural barrier to obscure people, and dogs on either...
Β Β Β Read moreWe was very impressed with our first visit to West Oxfordshire Dog Fields. It was well maintained and has everything needed- Security, fences, good easy access, dog waste bins/bags, play equipment, seats, shaded area, cooling pool, water station, shoe cleaner, excellent communication from admin, 3 different size fields to chose from. Each field has an allocated car park- admin sent us a code 1 hour before our slot. We used the Meadows on our visit- 3.5 acres. Using the secure field provides a controlled environment where our dog was able to run free, play without the risks of public parks, traffic, other people or unsupervised dogs..Our boy loved being able to run free- Having the peace of mind knowing he was safe made the whole experience really nice. This experience was worth every penny and we will be booking again. Definite 5...
Β Β Β Read moreI am a local Dog Trainer and use the meadow and the paddock regularly to host classes. The fields are well maintained with nice big secure car parks. It is also a great central location and easy to get to. These aren't just fields, they have lots of interesting equipment for your dog to explore and my favourite thing is they leave some of the grass long to maximize sniffing opportunities. it's great value for money. I often recommend these fields to my clients.
The only downside is, the fields are not suitable for reactive dogs as they are all adjoining and dogs can see each other through the fence. I do believe they are working on improving...
