Quick intro, I got tickets for the Members Meeting in November. I was suddenly lucky enough to get a puppy a few days ago. My husband and I have a campervan we drove to goodwood yesterday .I am a professional dog behaviourist. There's a camera on the van we access from out phones. We arrived at GoodWood at 13:30 and left after the last race, The ambient temp in the van is 16C°. To the story once we arrived I settled my puppy in the crate, at the back of the van, in the same way I do at home to all my dogs. I then checked on the puppy every 90 minutes by physically making an appearance and engaging the dog. I stayed with the dog for 45 minutes at the time. I overall spent over 3 hours with the dog, mind you puppies at that age need to sleep 18-20 hours a day, why is this important? Well, as we were leaving a member of a carpark team approached me from behind while I was attempting to toilet the puppy and the woman began to question me on my dogs wellbeing. She claimed someone has complained about my dog being abandoned the whole day in the car. Mind you, in a campervan, a massive one mind you quite literally cannot mistake it this for a car. Now, I checked the camera several times and as far as I know the dog sleep the whole time and as far as I know I visited often, hardly abandonent if you ask me. Problem was she wouldn't go away, for one reason or another she felt entitled to express her concern to the point I had to tell her to quite literally go away because she was making ME uncomfortable, she's was not interested in the fact I am a professional, van is equipped in camera, it's not a car and I visited several times. She had none of it, kept insisting I abandoned the dog in the CAR all day, all day a little over 6 hours may I remind you. After I clearly told her to leave so that we could finally leave she said I was rude. Really? I paid a lot of money to go there and be insulted by a carpark team? Aha, okay. For clarity the whole situation is happening while I am juggling a puppy while trying to repel this woman and while my husband is sorting the crate away so we can leave and go home to out other dog. The whole situation last about 5 minutes untill my husband had to literally block this woman off with his body and walk her away from us. She wouldn't not go away and she just kept getting closer and closer all while I was telling her to keep distance because my dog is not yet habituated! Insane. Absolutely insane. I hope this woman is reading this, go away when you're told to go away. You don't have authority to interfere with peoples private business just because you feel like it. You are the one who was wrong and rude. You've created a stressful situation where all care has been taken with dogs best interest was in mind.Your jobs is clearly supervising the car park not getting involved in my dogs wellbeing, thank you very much she's well...

Been here 4 times now! It is AMAZING AND PHENOMENAL but be prepared for the large crowds!

If you don’t like crowds, you’ll hate it, it’s borderline on over crowded, which is a shame as it truly is a phenomenal world class event!

The cars and bikes on display here are some of the best in the world!

You’ll be blown away by how many and you can get real close up to them all.

The track or the hill is superb too. Huge grandstands so you should be able to get a seat even with the huge crowds as you can sit in any of the stands so long as you bought Grand stand tickets.

It’s also truly massive event! It takes more than a day to get around.

Tons of trade stands, all the car manufacturers are here with huge stands.

There is a separate rally section at the top of the hill, takes a good 30 mins to walk up to the top of the hill and I’m a fast walker.

They do provide a tractor and trailer to take you up but again be prepared to queue!

The walk is much better and it’s easy to walk down hill than up hill.

They also have the red arrows and other flight displays here each year.

Tons of food choices, some healthy options too! We had the fine Thai noodles.

Hospitality is very expensive but if you can afford it then it really is superb!

We had the garden hospitality this time as that is all that was left even though we booked two months before the event. £300 each is expensive but it is a lot less than the clarks hospitality Which is over £800 each for the day which we have booked and enjoyed other years.

If you love motor sports of either cars and or bikes, you’ll truly be blown away! But the only downside is the massive crowds so it can be really difficult if not impossible to get a photo of some of the cars without anyone in the photos. (Unless you wait till late in the day or get there really early in the morning)

You’ll also see plenty of famous people!

This year we saw F1 drivers Botas, Ricardo, Barichello, Hakannan, Ted Gravits, Damon Hill, to...

Been going to the Festival of Speed for 4 years now and it never gets old. The atmosphere, the cars, the people.. It really is a petrolhead's dream. I still remember my first year, felt like a kid again.

Every year has its own theme, there’s always something new. You'll see legendary F1 cars, rally beasts, modern hypercars, drifters, even beautifully preserved classics from decades past, there really is something for everyone. I sadly never got to experience a full grid of V10 F1s in person back in the early 2000s, but seeing F1 cars from all eras being thrashed up the hillclimb has to be the next best thing.

Depending on which days you go, you will also see drivers and legends from all corners of motorsport, past and present.

If you can - go for the 4 days. I think it's the best way to see it all. If not, at least do Saturday and Sunday because a single day just isn’t enough, you’ll end up missing things.

There's such a range of manufacturer stands and displays dotted around. Most brands go all out with interactive exhibits, first-look reveals, concept cars, and even opportunities to get up close with vehicles you’d usually only see from behind your screen. There are also loads of vendor stalls selling motorsport merch, parts, tools, model cars, books, and so much more. You could easily spend hours looking through everything.

If your car is eligible for Performance Parking you should check it out. Costs extra, but you get to park pretty much inside the festival, handy if you don’t want to do a long trek with bags or in the heat.

Only downside is the cost of food and drink, which can be steep. If you’re not planning to bring your own, be prepared to spend a bit. Free drinking water is provided at various points throughout the venue though which is a huge help.

One of the best events of the year. There's probably a lot more I could say, but if you love cars/motorsports I couldn't recommend this enough to you, just go and see it...

Goodwood Festival of Speed – A Dream Come True for Any Car Enthusiast As a car enthusiast who spends far too much time watching car reviews and spotting rare models around London, Goodwood blew me away. It was my first time attending, and honestly, it exceeded every expectation. From the well-signed parking (with accessibility options) to the golf carts provided for those with mobility needs, the event was clearly thoughtfully organised. Once inside, it truly was car heaven — from Formula 1 cars to supercars, vintage classics to concept vehicles, there was something for everyone. The F1 showcase was a standout, and the engine sounds alone gave me chills. I also enjoyed the BMX and motorbike shows, plus the interactive brand displays where you could get up close to new and concept models. The app was super helpful for navigating the large site and planning which events to catch. There was a great variety of food, shaded seating areas (very welcome in the 30+°C heat), and plenty of well-maintained toilets across the venue. What really stood out was how inclusive the event was — from families with children to hardcore car fans like myself, everyone was catered to and engaged. It felt like the ultimate car lover’s convention and I’d return in a heartbeat.
