Park itself is lovely but the new parking machines and system are absolutely appalling. Been a regular visitor for many years, won't be returning. First time I used them at Town Brow I paid with cash but no receipt so I'd no evidence I'd paid if there was a problem. Second time I visited Town Brow I remembered to pay with card so I could prove I'd paid. Card reader not working. Not willing to pay with cash again(and either way the coin slot was jammed with coins so unusable) so I had to go online. Very poor signal, so I had to drive down the road to be able to pay. Said no fees outstanding so it hadn't logged me arriving. Had to manually put my reg in and it asked me for arrival time. I didn't know because I was expecting it to have logged me in! Had to guess, potentially risking a fine. I paid extra I prob didn't need to pay. Used the Berkeley Drive one four days ago, all seemed fine(card pay). Yippee. Returned the next day and used the Kem Mill one the next day and it didn't recognise my reg again. Tried to key it in manually but the buttons on the machine don't work. Went online again but because it hadn't logged me in I couldn't pay. I found last time there was a way to log it yourself...but the fee from the day before was still showing as unpaid and you can't get passed that to log a new one yourself!! So, I had to pay the day before's again to clear it then got through the system to log my reg myself for the current parking(guessing my arrival time again, risking a fine again). I then found out it had taken not one, but three consecutive PayPal payments for this fee. So I've now paid for three parking sessions I haven't had. The stress ruined my day. Worrying about fines and trying to negotiate my way through the ridiculous system with so many issues. Checking, the card payment hadn't cleared my bank which is, I assume, why it was showing as unpaid. that's not my fault, I'd paid it. There was no way to bypass this to pay another fee manually when the unreliable system didn't log me in. None of the machines have paper for receipts so if you pay in cash you've no evidence you've...

Cuerden Clubland was throughly enjoyed by myself and my friends. The event was very well organised. There was no trouble, everyone was having a good dance and none stop laughter. It wasn’t overcrowded, which was a massive bonus for me as there is nothing worse than being all crammed together. There was enough room within the venue to sit on chairs or stand within a group away from other crowds of people. The food court and bar was brilliant as you could sit and relax on a bench eat your food and take time out. This isn’t at all a complaint but something I think maybe could be improved on if the event was to go ahead next year, the toilets are unisex toilets, this, half way through the night caused a massive issue for some people as the queue for the toilets where really big and took up to 30 minutes to get to the front of the queue. This isn’t ideal if you are a lady with a weak bladder! By the end of the night some of the toilets were blocked and out of order. Maybe a portaloo urinal for the men would be a good idea next time or additional portaloos for the ladies to use. The event was advertised as ‘Clubland’ there was only a couple of songs which were played which I associate with Clubland music. The majority of music played on the night was Ibiza type trance music. Clubland to me resembles artists such as Flip & Fill, Ultrabeat, Cascada, Kelly Llorenna etc. The base was too much, you struggled to hear the singing on the songs...

Visited for 1st time today and will definitely go back! Lovely park for walking the dogs and children. Shallow river runs through it so lots of opportunities for dogs and children to have fun in it. Main paths are pram and wheelchair friendly but there are also more difficult ones if you want to go off the beaten track. Didn't have time to explore all the park but saw 2 picnic areas, 1 of which the picnic benches had a metal plate for bbqs and a special bin for ashes. Lots of other benches as you explore and plenty of bins. There is a large lake with ducks, geese etc but you cannot walk all the way around it as part of it is edged with a designated nature reserve that public cannot access.

The cafe is lovely and definitely worth a visit. It is dog friendly and has a balcony with outdoor seating. The views from the cafe are lovely and if you sit near the bird feeder you can bird watch while you eat. They serve breakfast up to 11.30. Prices are a little expensive but food was good. Staff were pleasant and polite. Toilets were immaculate and well equipped. There is a separate disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.

There are a few car parks which are pay and display - reasonably priced and take card or phone payments as well as cash. Disabled spaces are available near the visitors centre and there are...

We're lucky enough to live right next to this beautiful park, it's in walking distance from our house. We enjoy to go for walks with our little boy. In the winter during lockdowns it got quite busy at times as there wasn't a lot else to do. But still beautiful and enjoyable even when busy. There are lots of little areas to walk around, little streams and rock pools for the dogs to splash in (we don't have dogs but we see lots enjoying themselves there). Duck pond and picnic tables - we tend to take a packed lunch and/or snacks and sit at the tables enjoying the scenery, then head to the duck pond, and then walk around. Beautiful scenic walks with plenty of space - perfect for getting some much needed fresh air! There are two car parks I believe; they are pay and display - haven't used them ourselves as we walk there and back with it being so close. There is also a cafe that sells food, cakes and hot drinks etc. Very nice! And every so often there will be an artisan market or craft market on - lovely little boutique buys, lots of small businesses to support. Definitely worth a visit when they are on too. Would highly recommend Cuerden Valley Park to all who love the great outdoors.
