Great place to hike. If you have small kids that love to run and don't listen much be careful tho. The area is a really interesting stream cutting through the rocks with lots of hills around it. You can walk up the steps alongside the stream and it opens up (see my pics) into a more grassy verge. I would give the area 5 stars but the safety for children can be a worry (some fences easy to climb and not much to stop you falling off the edge) and the other factor is a serious amount of trash but that's down to the sheer bloody laziness of human beings just lighting fireworks whilst they scoff their take out meal and then dropping the lot. But overall a really pretty spot to visit.

Oh take note! Google maps will try and send you up a public...

A really nice little stroll in a very pleasent spot.

Plenty of paths to take to the waterfall and surrounding woods and some nice little picnic spots.

The waterfall and stream water was crystal clear when we went and paddled for an hour while having a picnic bit there was a little litter left over by some visitors and the place was quite busy with maybe 20 people passing through in an hour.

This is also a really nice alternative route up to the top of the pike or across Rivington.

Parking available along the roadside and limited parking along the wooded path leading into the woods itself, maybe...

Well hidden woodland containing a number of streams and the Douglas beck. Shows beautiful colours in the autumn and the waterfalls are worth a visit when in flood. Just note walking boots recommended, as it can be muddy and slippy in places and the paths are narrow. The North path takes you up to Rivington Pike eventually. A great place to explore for more energetic ramblers. Just note you can't drive to Tiger's Clough. Park on Lever Park Rd or Roynton Rd and walk up via the...
