Beautiful but challenging set of walks in the Pentland Hills. Car park of around 30 spaces next to Swanston Golf Course is your starting point for a few different walks. We did the 'City View' walk which takes you up the hill on a muddy path starting just past Swanston village and running beside Swanston Burn. Ahead is Caerketton Hill Summit but as the burn ends you take a left towards Hillend Ski Centre (with cafe). You get fantastic views of South Edinburgh before walking down the hill to Biggar Road (A702).
