Ludstone Hall — Attraction in Claverley

Visited this historic family home for the very 1st time today, it was absolutely fascinating, could have spent hours taking it all in, & especially would have 'loved' to have being given a private tour of the secret doors which hide the secret passageways. What an absolutely magnificent home to have had the privilege of calling it 'home!" for the Smith familiy & Co. I sincerely hope they manage to hold onto this great hall home, or it goes to a family who'll be as equally caring custodians of this amazing, splendid home! I sincerely wish the family all the very best for their future with this property, must be so very emotional...

Went along for a one off experience for charity day to raise funds in honor of this wonderful family. I hope you don't mind us posting photos. The home and gardens are stunning and really reflect the beautiful family that live there. Thank you so much for allowing us to visit. It was a very special and wonderful day. It felt like more of a family get together than a day out as all of the family were so gracious and spoke so reminiscently about family past and present. One of our best days out this year by far. The gardens were opened up today. But it's not like some stuffy Antiques Roadshow event. It's fun and down to earth. It's more like a big garden party in the grounds of a big posh house. The Smith family have looked after it well. A man who started as market trader at Bilston market moved up and created Poundland. A selfmade man who is still down to earth.
