A recent visit was disappointing sadly. We were looking forward to our visit having been before some years ago. It was a bitterly cold Sunday and to be fair it was busy. We chose an empty table and sat down ready to place our order. We were asked to move as the table was booked they were fully booked we were told although none of the tables had signs on to indicate this. We asked if we may stay at the table while we waited for our order and said that we would ofcourse move. We were told we would need to use an outside table with blankets provided. There were empty tables including our original one that remained empty for 3/4 of an hour. We sat outside it was very cold and as we waited for our order (Soup & Bread which when it came was very nice) we had asked for 3 coffees extra hot that were at best barely luke warm. We returned these but their replacement were not much hotter. Unfortunately on this occasion much could have been done to improve the experience. In fairness it was a very cold day and they were busy which contributed to the over all feeling that the staff were not managing the tables very well and an over all feeling that we were a hindrance. We did not know that we could pre book so a valuable lesson there I think. I would go back but pre book a table and go on...
Read moreWhat an amazing find! The Potager Garden is not visible from the lane where you turn off into the car park. Walking up the path, through trees, and padt a fire pit with wooden bench seats and a willow woven pod, you get the feeling you might have come across something magical. We definitely felt this on reaching the beautifully kept garden, a fenced vegetable garden to one side, with veg and flowers sitting sharing the space, the latter attracting pollinators & keeping pests at bay. Under trees are tables for dining or sitting with a coffee & cake. We ate indoors - a cool, airy space with mismatched tables & chairs. Beyond, more greenhouses to wander round with a mix of unusual and very healthy looking plants. Outside, apart from the tables & chairs, there are hammocks strung between trees, deck chairs and a badminton net with all the equipment for a game. The food was perfect - we had brunch and were struck by the freshness & originality of the menu. The cakes too were delicious. I noticed that a variety of workshops are run there, a toddler group, volunteer gardeners help maintain the plants. We felt as if we had found a little hidden treasure, where we could relax and just enjoy the natural...
Read moreLet’s go from the beginning. So basically I started out with the voluntary workshop with the potager outdoor workshop with framework to begin to feel like I could engage with them. I attended 4 times with them and they seemed to sound like trustworthy individuals and like nothing wrong with them. After one session they seemed to say they cancelled as not enough people turned up. Little did I know it was to somehow remove and ostracise me pathologically from their society just to outcast me as an individual and believe I posed a problem to safety based on my background. Pathologically these people are selective minded selfish hypocrites bottom line and you people are a complete sham of a business and I am unfortunately vindicated to post this about your sheer ignorance towards me. Strange they know all the underlying facts and basics however use that against me when they don’t hesitate to rid me. Don’t worry I won’t come back you people are disgraceful...
