Amazing beach but BEWARE OF JELLYFISH AND YOUR DOGS
Conwy Beach is such a beautiful find for anyone wanting to visit: right on the east Irish Sea with stunning views, soft sand and beautiful surroundings. There's a small car park right next to it, too, and it's not far from the centre of Conwy.
However, if you're visiting with a dog, please beware of the jellyfish that have been washed up. There must have been over 100 when I visited yesterday and sadly my puppy ended up licking the top of one and getting incredibly sick. So please watch out, especially if your dog has a penchant for licking things it shouldn't whilst your back is turned!
His symptoms after being poisoned from the jellyfish were projectile vomiting, excessive licking and drooling, not being able to swallow and whimpering. Luckily we were able to book an emergency vet appointment (even though we're not local to the area as we're on holiday), and thankfully got him seen straight away, so he's okay now. The vets were Mochdre Vets (7 mins drive from Conwy Beach) which I highly recommend.
As I say, highly recommend the beach but please do keep a look-out for your...

Drive on past the entrance to the caravan park and under the traffic height restriction bar, you will be at the Conway Morfa car parking area. The sands are readily accessible (depending upon the tide), as well as the coastal cycle and pedestrian path. Views of the Great Orme, Anglesey and Puffin Island across the Menai Straits and the sweep of the Morfa Beach, all contribute to the enjoyment of the visit. The cycle/walkway is easily accessible for wheelchairs, but it's a 'walk out, turn around and walk back' type outing. My only reason for not giving a 5star rating is because it is a beach pure and simple, does not have any facilities (cafe's, toilets, etc.). The Beach and its lack of amenities may not...
Read moreConwy Morfa Beach is one of a very few beaches in the Llandudno, Deganwy, & Conwy area where you can walk your dog year round. The size of the beach is dependent on the state of the tide. When the tide is out at low water springs, it is huge. But beware the tide comes in very quickly and many people have been cutoff. There is a free car park that fills very quickly in the summer so if you have great weather and fancy a day at the beach then arrive early. There are toilets but they are not always open. An ice cream van often rucks up on a lovely day. Don't let a pile of dog sh** spoil your day look where you put your feet. There is not a lot but there are some irresponsible...
