First time visiting and was surprised how busy it was given how windy it was! Can see why it's a popular spot as there are plenty of trails to wander around and something for all abilities and ages, and dogs are welcomed on a lead. Plenty of picnic benches around the edges and a couple seats built in at the top of some of the mounds. There are walks listed on an info board that suggest the longest takes around 35mins, but you can go at your own pace and wander up and down as you please. Imagine it looks a lot better in the Spring/Summer months, once the trees are more established and if they plant plenty of flowers it'll look really nice.

Popped into the wee cafe for a hot choc and cake afterwards (both very nice and not expensive), and glad to see it was also dog friendly - not only did they have doggy ice-cream advertised, but they had doggy chicken sausages available inside too. They also serve a small selection of food, but finished serving at 3pm so was too late for that and cannot comment. Toilets available around the back, but I think they're only open when the cafe is. Free to visit, but the option to...

We visited Northumberlandia on a Tuesday and is was lovely and quiet. Got a parking space straight away. There’s a cafe at the entrance which we did not visit and a lovely wooden sculpture. Also a donations box which is nice to contribute to. There’s a lovely little woodland walk with fairy doors in trees and carved mushrooms for little ones to enjoy. The walk to the ‘lady’ took about ten minutes from the car park on flat terrain. However, this is where the flat ground ends as most of the walks you can choose from are inclines. Beautiful views of Northumberland and of the nearby quarry from the top of the mounds but if you struggle with stairs, I’d miss this out. I’m 50 And reasonably fit but after a couple of hours walking up and down here my knees were aching! Well worth a visit..don’t pick one of the rare hot summer days or it’ll be a struggle! I can imaging in the summer holidays this place will be heaving and the odd picnic bench will...

We came here about 7 years ago and enjoyed it then. It's matured quite a bit in the intervening years, now 2022...10 years old!. Lovely flat walk around perimeter path, great if you're in a wheelchair or a buggy. Fantastic views from the face, but be careful with children especially when it's windy. There are 2 small lakes and as you come through the entrance path there's a lovely wooded area to your right where children can explore and have fun, as can adults. Just one moan....it does say, in several places, that dogs are to be kept under control on leads. There seem to be some dog owners who think they're above keeping to the rules and let their dog's run free. In a place like this, which has been built for the public to enjoy, it would be nice if people actually followed the rules. On a lighter note there's free car parking an electric charge point and a small café as well. Enjoy your day, it's definitely...

I didn't get time to experience everything on offer because of my own time constraints so can't give an accurate rating. We visited late afternoon ( about 3.30 on a Sunday). Plenty of parking available including disabled ( for my wife). We had a pleasant stroll around the base of the figure ( again due to my wife's condition). There are plenty of seats spread around the area and it was quite relaxing. Some good pathways leading to the top of the figure, suitable for most people. There is a small area of mature woodland and lots of young saplings planted, which, when grown will enhance the area even more. There are some ducks etc to watch on and around the ponds and if you are lucky, you may spot some deer. We didn't get to try the visitor centre and cafe due to the time of our visit (open from 10 until 4 each day). I saw a lot of smiling faces from young and old alike. It is a place I would return to.
