Brilliant idea and fun for the whole family, just needs to work on its execution. The "reception" area was clearly signposted but after checking in nothing was really explained to us other than we get our wetsuits around the corner. The "wetsuit retrieval area" was just a bunch of people behind some boxes with no clear sign or queueing system and seemed like a free for all. I was given a size smaller than I would normally go for, as the staff just eye you up to determine your size, which was flattering but after having to change mine and my children's wet suits for larger ones was a hassle in itself. The drop off area for used wetsuits were smack in the middle of the changing area so made it difficult to get in or out if there was a large party dropping off their gear. The Aqua chimps was amazing though and my kids and myself had a really fun time on it. We will be definitely booking it again. The only only thing that tarnished the day were the few teenage workers on a power trip commanding people to stay away from the waters edge or telling swimmers off for crossing a line to try and get out of the water. I understand there are rules and guidelines in place for safety but they just need to ease off or not be aggressive about it. All in all a good day however maybe some additional training or people skills are required for...
Read moreWorth It for the Course, but Lacking Elsewhere.
Visited on a Wednesday with my boyfriend. The location was easy to find and parking was plentiful. The aqua park session itself was fun and felt safe, with only six people on the course. However as late comers, it seemed staff mostly focused on the other group, and we felt a bit excluded. The most welcoming staff member was actually someone we’d met the day before by accident — he was there the next day and made a better impression so much so we actually wished he had been the one leading the session.
The biggest disappointment was the closed café. We’d seen posts about hot chocolates and were looking forward to relaxing after, but there were no refreshments or food available. Once our 50-minute session was done, there was nothing else to stick around for. Only 1 wakeboarder and the rest of the park was dead. (Yeah we got full rein on the aqua park but you couldn't watch other people or hear laughter.) This made it hard to make a proper “day out” of the visit.
We ended up going to nearby Delamere Forest, where we spent £60 on food and drinks and had a great time — it really saved the day. Wild shore has potential, it’s just the aqua course and go home. I expect the vibe is different on weekends or peak...
Read moreFive stars for the staff and park! We had a great day here on the Aqua park from start to finish. The staff were great Emma and Lewis who looked after us were fun and good and their jobs. I hurt myself and I was looked after very well You should come here you wont regret it. Ps take flip flops!!! 2/3 stars for the venue I know you have only just opened but... You need bigger changing rooms as the group before us had left all their stuff in there so there was no where for ours to go! They have left bags on the benches do we couldn't even sit down to change the floor was a pool off water so we couldn't move their bags as they would have been soaked. The indoor area is too small too especially if its cold or wet you won't be able to move. If a big group or a large number of people are on the aqua park there is no way they could fit in the changing rooms to move let alone get changed. If you opened a cafe with tea and coffee hot choc and cake ect you would make loads. We were all damp and cold and no hot drinks!! The outside area needs a bigger shelter area for spectator's from our...
