Northern Ireland’s largest and most beautiful urban park, Lurgan Park is the second biggest Park in Ireland, the biggest being Phoenix Park in Dublin. Located around an expansive man made lake, it has 5 km of pathways through mature woodland and open grassland. The Park was once part of the Brownlow estate and is still overlooked by Brownlow Castle today.
The Park is over 250 acres in size and boosts many paths for walking, a super play area and large green spaces. The Park can be found tucked in behind the market town of Lurgan and can be described as a ‘hidden gem’. The Park lake has been stocked with Roach, Bream and Tench and there are 20 newly constructed fishing stands allowing the visiting angler excellent access to this beautiful resource.
As well as a pleasant place to walk, Lurgan Park has much to offer, such as a super play park, tennis courts, bowling green, cricket wicket and football pitches. Rugby pitches, cricket pavilion, football pitches & also a place for joggers & Walker's. Lurgan park show, rally racing on show here. Bird watchers will find a good place for swan's, mallards, coot's & moorhens. Also not a uncommon place too spot the odd species of geese. Grey squirrel not uncommon I dare you to go for a walk & not spot one!!! Tennis courts also available. Golf course just off grounds. Three entrances & obliviously three exits.
