Newland Park — Attraction in Denham, Gerrards Cross and Chalfonts Community Board

I came here last weekend for a 4 day retreat.

the food was pretty low quality, the fish that we had on Friday was so hard that you can hold it like a ruler. the beans were always so over cooked you dont even need to chew them. there are other groups in the campus. and the queue in the canteen can take up to 20mins. The salad selection is always the same, and they do not refill it when they are gone. the soup and pasta are the same each day ( lunch + dinner). the food generally was quite salty. probably to cover up the stinky taste of old food. the facilities in the rooms / pantry was minimum. the toilet kind of stinks. some of my friends' showers had blockage. the toilet facilitates in the common areas were very badly maintained as well. 90% of the time there was no soap even. and there are always some toilets blocked /...

Came here for a retreat. It's my first time, and maybe it will be the only time. The food quality was bad, over-cooked vegetables almost everyday. Breakfast with sausage that tasted like rubber, bacon that were soaked in oil, very milky scrambled eggs etc. You can tell they used frozen food and didn't even bother to reheat them properly. Even sweet corns went wrong. I had bad quality food before but this is the worst. That's the major let-down.

Minor, bearable let-down like dated bathroom that only gave boiling hot-water, water wouldn't' go down, the flush in my friend's room wasn't working. Thankfully they sent someone to repair it the following day that makes our remaining 3 days simply bearable.
