Lawrencefield is a fantastic place a short walk from the surprise view car park, which takes you past a graveyard of millstones in to a forest of silver birches. It’s a great place to explore or good for beginner climbers. Just be aware the ground is boggy in places and the banks can be slippery.
The walk it’s self is easy with only a few slopes to walk up ,I managed it in trainers but would still recommend walking boots.
