I liked the model village they had on display. There are some interesting information boards on display and some nice photographs of Winster and the Market House. This was the first Derbyshire place the National Trust acquired. There is free street parking near by. Would recommend a visit.

Beautiful little village, very English and still set in the past. There's not much there, but a nice pub surrounded by old stone houses with beautiful country gardens. I would say it's a nice stop on the way to other attractions in the Peak District.

Charming old building with one room up the stairs and a lot of history to read about when up there. Free of charge to enter it’s worth a visit while you visit the beautiful village.

Winster Manor! Very fond memories of our time when we visited Winster Manor most weekends from Sheffield. My family owned the manor and my mother used to run it as a senior care center. We also had a Market Garden with lots of produce. I well remember the night that we lost 1000 chicken with avian flu. We never had chickens again.

As a child aged 5/6yr, I didn’t find the local kids terribly welcoming. I think that’s natural. I think we were regarded as the rich folk from Sheffield. Despite this, we had some fun … like pancake racing on Shrove Tuesday.

I live in California these days … for the past 40 years. But still have very fond...

A small National Trust house that’s free to all.

This is worth a stop if you’re driving past, or in the area, I’m not sure it’s a destination all by itself! I don’t think you could take more than 30 minutes here. The model of the village is interesting, and the displays were quite charming. As per usual for me on an NT property, I want more information than they’re willing to provide, but enjoyed it as a minor diversion...

An interesting place to visit regardless of if your a national trust member or not. My only point would be that small doesnt cut it, this place is tiny so dont visit unless you are just passing through or have other stuff on in the area. probably takes a few minutes to read everything...
