Dumpdon Hill Fort — Attraction in East Devon

Dumpton for has spectacular views, it's tricky getting there along country lanes as delivery drivers are oblivious, but hey, the walk wasn't arduous , worth a pic nic everyday of the week, parking is minimal so expect to seek out an alternative. A lovely short walk easily accessible from the A30 north West of Honiton. There are a number of parking spots around the base of the hill. I parked in the northern one in a small wood. Path had one steep part up the hill's flank to a flat (ish) top. Great views to be had from here of the local area. Butterflies everywhere...

Climbed up here on a very foggy day in late February, therefore not the best conditions, but even so we had a good walk around the top of the hill, through the copse and on and around some of the old earthworks. Sure the view would be amazing on a clear day!! Nb tiny car park, fits about 4 cars so...
