Oh, what a marvel of history I found, At Woodbury Castle, with its secrets unbound, A place of wonder, and mystery so profound, Where the stone age's marvels, and stories astound.
Built in 30,000 BCE, a true delight, A castle so ancient, and full of might, The stones so sturdy, and so strong, A testament to the skills of those who belonged.
The atmosphere, so sacred and still, The air, so fresh, and so chill, A place of reverence, and awe so true, A perfect setting, to pay homage to.
The mysteries of the stone age, so vast and so bright, A sight to behold, so wondrous and light, The secrets, so hidden, and so tight, A journey through time, that fills the heart with delight.
Oh, what a fantastic experience, To visit Woodbury Castle, so grand and immense, A journey through time, so dear, And a true testament to the spirit of history, so clear.

Read moreThe entry to Woodbury castle a hilltop fort is to the left of the carpark as you enter, you go under the trees and walk towards a circular mound in front of you, you then walk up some earthen stairs up into the actual fort over the top and view the circular fort before you! You can walk through the amazing hill fort castle to the other side which is straight in front of you and turn left into a bit of forest, look out for squirrels and hear and sometimes see many kinds of birds in the trees. As you turn to the slight right the heathland opens up before you a glen of peace and tranquility. This is a circular walk and you can view and follow this right around till it goes back to the carpark also look out for the pond, if you have dog with you he maybe tempted to jump in.
