If you love trees then this place is a must do when in the area. Just to walk around and admire the majesty of all of the gorgeous trees within this park but in particular the giant Oak's some of which must be hundreds of years old, they are truly awe inspiring. Also, on a hot summer's day it is a delight to just meander the many trails that cover the park and especially within the dappled woods and to admire some of the various properties that border the park - just stunning. I guess the only disappointment is some people who's only contribution to the beauty of this special place is to either not pick up after their dogs as requested or even worse is to pick it up and then throw the plastic bags with contents on the ground - contemptible!

A short distance from the Hertford C&CC site. Great for walking or cycling. The park is well managed with lots of grass areas left long for wildlife. Clean and tidy with no litter.

A fantastic campsite we found. Child friendly. Pet friendly. Very clean facilities. Flat pitch. Due to popularity we had a larger plot than we needed, but the smaller ones didn't look squashed. Free WiFi. There are aircraft flying quite high periodically, but could still hear wildlife. Doesn't get better than this site and I've camped for 30 yrs. Ideally located for the Live craft show in Hertfordshire being about 10 minute drive away. Tad annoying that the only bin was at the main entrance. 🙄 There are people who wouldn't/ couldn't take the pleasent traffic free walk and would leave their rubbish, so it's typical of camping to be reliant on people's good...

Loved this site. Very friendly accommodating staff. Immaculate site although the toilet blocks where still closed but with the high standard I witnessed everywhere there should be no concerns. It felt very camping/rural in places but if you prefer the hard standing nearer to amenities you have that too. A short walk into Hertford but up hill all the way back!...
