Costa Coffee. — Restaurant in East Hertfordshire

Welcome to the worst Costa in the UK. Always a dreadful experience where a coffee seems to take an age to get. We have been there when they’ve had no milk, no card payments, no coffee beans, and no staff. The latest debacle was a really rude member of staff pointing at a person standing in the queue stating they were the last to be served - leaving those behind questioning why, given it was only 16:30 and it was supposed to be open until 17:00. She exclaimed loudly she was the only person working (she wasn’t) and therefore wanted to shut early. This was a Saturday afternoon in early June and people had been in the queue for 10 minutes already. Dreadful service - we will never return. The staff are woefully incompetent - they panic over an order of more than one coffee at a time. Heavens forbid they were to work at a shop in London or somewhere similar, they would capitulate under the pressure. I will never use a Costa again thanks to this pitiful excuse for a shop....

I have given this costa a few chances over the years and it never improves. There is 1 guy there and sadly I think he might be the franchise owner who is consistently rude and incompetent. He has serious issues in listening, taking an order and getting it right, let alone having any kind of customer service skills. The biggest joke is he spends alot of time berating his staff in front of customers while he is the one causing the problem. Even when there are no customers you end up waiting 15/20 minutes to get a drink which almost always is the wrong order, so durning some busy periods be prepared to lose 30/40 minutes on waiting for a coffee. Having given this place a number of chances I will no longer waste my money on sub par service and wrong drink orders. So many lovely places in town to get a better brew and worth the extra...

Costa Coffee Hertford is very nice plenty of light coming into the Costa Coffee. Good place to meet friends or family or just to get away and have a read or just relax and unwind. Staff very friendly and good service. It is located on a site in Hertford where there is a Matalan, Pets at home, Wickes, Merjestic Wine and then the Costa Coffee. Parking is 2 Hours free parking but there are parking rules are displayed on the signs located around the car park and as you enter the car park there are 2 cameras one as you drive in so it knows when you got there and one as you drive out so it knows when you have left but you can only stay the maximum hours that is displayed and stated on the...
