What a little gem this museum is, detailing various local topics and facts surrounding the port. Staff all very friendly and egar to talk and explain about any items or information you are unsure or would like more detail about. Lots of wartime memorabilia and a super 80s room that has lots of OMG do you remember those moments.. Read moreHaving been round the Fort, this was a lovely addition, just 'next door'. Knowledgeable staff (all volunteers) who obviously love what they do. It's child friendly, with owls for them to find and they also have special events there, on occasion, for both children and adults.
The cafe is adequate but you may have a little wait. There is also a small gift shop there.
The lavatory is in another cafe building, a short walk away but is clean and has disabled access.
