A lovely little nature reserve. It's a little reminiscent of Dungeness, in that it's beauty is wild and sparse. It's one of those pieces of nature that sits adjacent to human industry (in this case, Felixstowe port) and is an oasis. As soon as we stepped in from the car park, we heard a Lesser Whitethroat and a Reed Warbler. Someone has fenced off parts of the beach to protect ground nesting Ringed Plovers, thank you! We found various wild plants such as Yellow-horned Poppy, Scarlet Pimpernel, Viper's Bugloss and Tamarisk. What a lovely place for a dip...
