Gunton Warren — Attraction in East Suffolk

This is a brilliant place to either walk your dog or go for a daytime stroll. Some very picturesque areas and well demarcated footpaths but maybe come a bit hazardous in poor weather or Darkness as it being a wood there are plenty of things to fall over and a small lake that is easy to see during the day but could take a midnight wanderer by surprise! In my experience the people around the area are friendly and polite but it depends on who is out during the day of course! There is free and easy parking nearby and a short trip over the road allows you a long walk on the heath or on the beach depending on your choice. This unique coastal nature reserve is a special place to visit. The beach is sand and shingle. Lowland heath still exists here and this scrub habitat hosts many a rare bird species. Bird watchers delight really 🐦

Parking is free at north beach parking off links road. Many people park on the side of corton road or at coffee rush and walk through the bushes. There is quite a slope down to the beach. There are stairs leading down; located just to the left of the trees by the large on the side road...

Iv'e been coming here for many years. It's an ideal spot especially for Dog walkers, or just a Lunchtime pic nic. Lovely beach too. Living about thirty miles away, I like to spend at least half a day here. It's lovely and quiet compared with the rest of Lowestoft. There's no Toilets, there used to be a large Toilet block at the top of the hill but was closed down, but there's woods here so just pretend you're a Bear.
