This is a brilliant place to either walk your dog or go for a daytime stroll. Some very picturesque areas and well demarcated footpaths but maybe come a bit hazardous in poor weather or Darkness as it being a wood there are plenty of things to fall over and a small lake that is easy to see during the day but could take a midnight wanderer by surprise! In my experience the people around the area are friendly and polite but it depends on who is out during the day of course! There is free and easy parking nearby and a short trip over the road allows you a long walk on the heath or on the beach depending on your choice. Living about thirty miles away, I like to spend at least half a day here. It's lovely and quiet compared with the rest of Lowestoft. There's no Toilets, there used to be a large Toilet block at the top of the hill but was closed down, but there's woods here so just pretend you're a Bear.
