Great little woods. North side of lowestoft. Popular for short walks and recently with Suffolk rocks a painted rock treasure hunt craze currently very popular with adults and children alike. Easy free parking on Gunton church lane.

Beautiful woods, the people involved in taking care of it are doing a brilliant job, so many different areas to explore, and a grass meadow, lots of seating and quiet areas, saw plenty of squirrels and other wildlife.

Was a lovely relaxing experience. Sun shining through all the trees. It's is a nice laid out place with plenty of benches if u need to sit down. My boy enjoyed it immensely. Must give it a visit.

Gunton Woods is a well maintained and a well used nature reserve in Lowestoft, Suffolk. You see a lot of different birds, trees, fungi and squirrels. We also visited the old church next door; as I was in a group, and took lots of photos of both places. There were also lots of dog walkers. It's just so peaceful with lots to see if you have more time as were only there for an hour. Also there are benches if you want to sit down a while, and some tables, so you could probably have a picnic there too! A thoroughly...

Used to live on the painters estate when it was first built and Gunton woods was my playground, I love what’s been done here and it made a lovely walk rediscovering all my old haunts. The paths through the wood are brilliant and lots of thoughtful owners who have put out water bowls for our four legged friends. It’s fantastic I love what you e all done and I thoroughly recommend a walk through...

Amazing place to walk your dogs, as long as you pick up behind them and are mindful of the wildlife that lives in the area. Has a child's play area in the area, plenty of seating areas, lots of paths around woodland areas, fields to run in, and different paths to follow. This really is a beautiful area that has been created by the friends of Gunton and as such has to...
