Homersfield Lake — Attraction in East Suffolk

We have just returned from our first stay at Five Islands House at Homersfield Lake. We would definitely recommend to others and are already booking to go back later in the year because we liked it so much. The house was absolutely lovely, and the views over the lake were beautiful. It was a peaceful and relaxing break and the walk around the lake is really scenic. The house was so clean and nicely decorated, and it was such a lovely gesture that the owners left an Easter egg for the two children in the family, and even made us a delicious cake for our stay. There was also a lovely welcome hamper on arrival. They were really helpful and friendly over the week with any questions we had. As we had never been before, we found the information pack really useful with information about nice restaurants etc nearby which we tried out and loved. Wifi was great too which is unusual in holiday homes! The two fisherman in the group loved the daily fishing. Thank you for a lovely week and we look forward to...

My partner and I stayed in the Kingfisher Lodge last week. Unfortunately it was a bit too cold to catch any fish but it didn’t put us off. The whole experience was perfect, the place is stunning. Lara and Martin, greeted us upon arrival and made us feel really welcome and gave us a little tour of the lake.

The lodge was beautiful and really clean. The conservatory was a little piece of heaven looking out onto the lake, my favourite spot to be honest with a cup of tea. It was the little touches that really impressed me there was a welcome hamper which was a nice touch. Without sounding like I have OCD I was really excited that there were proper utensils and pots and pans to use, not the flimsy sort. It really was a home from home.

Lara and Martin are both really approachable and nothing is too much trouble.

Homersfield lake is one of the best lakes with accommodation that i have visited in over 40 years of fishing, in the UK or abroad. You are greeted by Martin and Lara who are both very welcoming and they make you feel at home straight away. The lodge is incredible and has everything you could possibly need, there's even a welcome prezzie waiting for you in the kitchen ! The lake is stunning and very well maintained, which is a credit to all the guys that look after it. The fishing is fantastic. I had 5 different species over the week and a couple of pb's.
