CHAFOR Wine Estate — Attraction in England

My wife and I enjoyed a tour and wine tasting on a warm Sunday in May. The tour was very informative and entertaining, with the host clearly passionate about his wine making and with everyone warming to him and his families story and hard work. After a walk around we tried three wines while the finer details of how they had been made were explained to us. The wines were excellent, I am not normally a fan of dry whites but I happily finished off my glasses. We noted many visitors just coming to enjoy sitting at the vineyard and having some wine and food. it all seemed idyllic and made us wish we lived a little closer. Well...

My girlfriend and I decided to pop in to get a bottle of wine as we were passing. They however weren’t open to the public on the day but a great guy called Tim invited us in to look at the wine for sale, which we gladly did and walked away with a bottle of Red & a Rosé.

He even asked if we would like to walk around the vineyard to have a look at where the wine grew.

Can't rate it much because we went in and went back out again. Bit disappointed that the jazz band was not even playing, the craft stalls were very few and expensive the whole thing was quite small compared to the website saying it is lots to see n do. One or two like us came and went so we looked on Internet for other craft fairs nearby, but was so disappointed that there is nothing and for a bank holiday weekend too.
