What an experience! I went there passing Seat Sandal. It was my first time camping experience, and woke up early to a crisp and cold air (it was raining during the night) and a stunning view. Loved it. There were couple of other campers (love how everyone was respectable to the place) so it looks like a popular place. There is a free car park alongside the road too.

Small tarn nestled in the bow of three mountains, great views of the Lake District when clear but I imagine when it is cloudy it’s not as good. Weird weather conditions with a beating sun however freezing cold chilly wind coming round the north side of the mountain but all in all a beautiful place

Beautiful place to visit , really nice walk to reach it . A sense lonely wildness about it .The walk should only be taken by experienced walkers though .

Grisedale tarn is absolutely awesome. Not only is it in a pretty prominent position, but once you get to the actual tarn, on a sunny clear day you can see for miles. There are numerous species of fish in the tarn as well which makes it great for fishing. The walk up is a little steep but...
