We came here as it was the closest beach to our camp site. Glad we did. It’s a small stretch of beach cladded with beach huts. The views were beautiful and being evening time it was relatively peaceful. There is a huge play park and paddling pool for litluns if needs be. Plenty of green space. I noticed a cafe on other side of park - my guess is that during the day this place must get busy. 5 stars as it’s a lovely place to stretch yours and your dogs legs.

Lovely park to walk your elderly, flat going and a snack bar as well! You can hire a beach hut in advance right on the promenade and watch the sail boarders do their stuff! You can park your car in the paid carpark in the middle or park on the west side in the residential area like the locals.

It's OK, pretty small and not the nicest beach for swimming. No facilities. Mostly sandy but was pretty windy, so lots of people doing watersports like windsurfing and kitesurfing. Also very hard to park as limited spaces.

I can't say anything more than absolutely stunning. It's so peaceful, and beautiful scenery. Nice and quiet too. Lovely place to take your doggo for a walk too! Will be visiting many times before I leave:)

Was quite disappointed. Loads and loads of little flies getting in the way of everything. Not much sand but enough to play. Not an ideal place for fishing. Amazing for paddle boats, floaties and inflatables. Great for kids. Walking the dog was difficult as there were loads of other dogs off the leash. Smells bad in some areas. Wouldn't recommend unless you're going to the park, taking a paddle boat or don't mind millions of flies interrfering your picnic. And when I say millions, I mean it.

Hamworthy Beach is situated between the Marine Camp and Rockley Sands in Poole Bay, Dorset, known to locals but more difficult to find for outsiders. The local community refer to it as "Up Lake". It is a muddy beach with sand and shingle.
