Lings Wood Nature Reserve — Attraction in England

My children and I love this beautiful woodland. The fact that its on our doorstep makes it our very own local paradise. Lots of space with both dense woodland and wide grassy clearings. Unfortunately if you plan to come in the hope of spotting snakes (try riverside nature reserve) & deer, then you will be sadly disappointed. The woodland may be a beauty spot for tree lovers and those that value open spaces however it lacks in wildlife, other than, peacock butterflies, crested newts if they haven't already been pond dipped and greater spotted woodpeckers who have been known to reside...

Once a very nice wooded area to walk in is now a bit of a dump. Rubbish is everywhere where as before people took pride in the place now they don't.
