Apparently the smallest parish church in England. The church is just a couple of hundred yards from the Wasdale Head parking area. Not easy to see from that location because it is surrounded by yew trees. St. Olaf's is worth a visit for all who venture onto the fells. Time for reflection by the gravestones of those who, sadly, have lost their lives while on the peaks. The fells are a wonderful place to be, breathtaking in decent weather. There are lots of little things to see that make a big impact, whether it be the Climbers memorial outside, or the poetry (at time of visit) and architectural features inside.
