This church is small (possibly the smallest in England). It is a good place to retreat in case of rain or spiritual need, whether by yourself or with others. There are lots of little things to see that make a big impact, whether it be the Climbers memorial outside, or the poetry (at time of visit) and architectural features inside. It is certainly worth a stop on any journey through the area, be it for Wast Water, Emerald Pool or Scafell Pike. I hope it stands forever.

absolutely beautiful spot! Sunday services are on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month at 11am. Everyone was very welcoming and the service was wonderful. The building and its surroundings are absolutely stunning. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

A beautiful place, really quiet and unique. Hidden away from the road on a lovely trail. It's really good place to step away from the hectic world and reflect on what's important. The surrounding scenery -STUNNING!

Apparently the smallest parish church in England. The church is just a couple of hundred yards from the Wasdale Head parking area. Not easy to see from that location because it is surrounded by yew trees. St. Olaf's is worth a visit for all who venture onto the fells. Time for reflection by the gravestones of those who, sadly, have lost their lives while on the peaks. The fells are a wonderful place to be, breathtaking in decent weather. BUT NEVER underestimate the dangers which can be upon you without warning. Make sure you are adequately prepared for your visit...
