Scenic little valley offering a short but enjoyable walk just outside the grounds of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Gardens. A well maintained path passes between rocky cliffs, crossing over picturesque bridges. At the upper end of the valley a stream adds to the view, but further down the water disappears (I visited after a spell of warm weather in May). The surrounding area of Studley Royal Deer Park is free to visit, but parking is expensive for the time you'll spend here.
