Excellent glorious underrated facility with its famous Mossman collection of carriages dating back to the seventeenth century. Also Vauxhall cars and an interesting perspective on early Luton. There are delightful knot gardens and agricultural museums depicting rural live in Victorian times. The grounds are extensive with an equestrian centres for children with ponies and dressage. There is a shop selling beautifully crafted items and a restaurant. The outbuildings are substantial and formed part of the original Stockwood House a glorious Queen Anne mansion unfortunately demolished by an irresponsible council in the 1950’s there are glorious rare trees in the grounds and a redundant haha. There is also a municipal golf course adjacent to the park. I attended a thirty stall craft market run the second Sunday in every month. I suggest joining the Luton Cultural website which keeps you informed of events including the fabulous Hat Factory and its affiliated clubs

Great park with plenty space, variety of parking spaces inside and at different entrances. Park for younger kids, golf centre, atheletics track, stockwood transport museum and Discovery Centre Gardens with plenty to see and sit in beautifully mentained Greenland, they even have a Hen called Maggie, vegs growing, places to sit and enjoy the view and a cafe (serves hot and cold food) with inside and outdoor seating, kids park inside the Discovery center too. ALSO a souvenir shop with great bits and bobs and local produce such as Bedfordshire honey variety, Jams etc. Sometimes you may even see the horses from the stable out for a walk. Discovery Centre closes about 4.45 (I think🤔) Bascially doesn't open into the evenings. Fantastic for scenic walk. Toilets inside Discovery Centre which is also wheel chair friendly. I encourage people to not litter to keep the place as gorgeous as it is.

Stockwood Park is a beautiful public park that offers a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages. The park has well-maintained gardens, an arboretum, and several walking trails that are perfect for nature walks and picnics. The Stockwood Discovery Centre, located within the park, is a must-visit attraction for those interested in the local history and culture of the area. The museum's collection of objects related to rural life, crafts, and industry is well-curated, and the collection of historic vehicles, including buses and carriages, is impressive. The park's golf course, children's play area, and other recreational facilities make it an ideal destination for families and groups of friends. Overall, Stockwood Park is a wonderful place to spend a day enjoying the natural beauty of the park and learning about the local history and culture.

Apon entry the door staff were reluctant to let me in with my service dog, despite the sign saying assistance dogs welcome.. I was told 'he isn't a guide dog' which, is absolutely correct but also assistance dogs aren't always for guidance. The younger lady spotted and acknowledged the sunflower lanyard and was then accommodating. She questioned the fact the dog did not have an assistance lead, which, is not somthing that is required by law but understandably many people do have these. Once it was understood, I was accepted in with my carer and assistance dog. We went to get some lunch, I have complex mental health alongside autism and adhd, eating food is a very difficult process for me to navigate and I can not thank the staff within the cafe for there absolute wonderful approach towards me. The food I ordered, was not what I had expected and both the server and the chef came and supported me in figuring out something else that would suit. They, in mu opinion, went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and unjudged by my inability to eat what I had ordered. They were absolutely WONDERFUL. The cafe staff should be so proud of themselves, alongside the chef. Wonderful team and now a place I know I can go and feel accepted and accommodated. Well done! It is a shame the reception staff were a little less understanding or aware of different types of...
