Flitwick Moor & Folly Wood — Attraction in Flitwick

Great for a wander with the dogs! It was a little bit difficult to find the right dirt track to get to it as it feels like a private drive to a farm! But it was far from any roads, the Marsh paths looked like they should be a scene from a fantasy rpg game. Very, very muck so I advise wellies! (we went at end of Feb). A lovely sport -- very quiet and serene. You can reach the Reserve from Greenfield Road, the footpath is opposite Flitwick Mill, or there is another footpath from Moor Lane (off Maulden Road). The path isn't shown on the Google Map but can be clearly seen on Google Earth and runs between two fields. There is a small unsurfaced car park near Folly Farm and the Grid Reference...

This is my favourite walk particularly in hot weather as there is water for the dogs to play in. I need to consider reversing our walk however as after cleaning off in the water we tend to end with the swampy, sludgy areas which my dog loves to jump and roll in! Sometimes they are deeper than he imagines they are going to be and we have had to pull him out. So be careful!...
